✨ If part of a booking is cancelled or changed after arrival, the full cost of the treatment(s) as booked will still be charged unless a shorter infill than expected is required.
✨ A patch test is required at least 24 hours prior to the treatment for Eyelash Extensions, Lash Lifts & any Tinting treatment. Reactions can still occur at any time and Lash TnT cannot be held liable for this. No refunds will be given for reactions which occur although extensions will be removed at no cost once it is safe to do so.
✨ It is crucial to be open about any medical or skin conditions prior to making an appointment, medications can also affect your suitability to carry out the treatment so this can be discussed in confidence beforehand. If you fail to be informative of a condition which subsequently is found to affect your chosen treatment, your booking fee will be retained even though the treatment cannot be carried out.
✨ Avoid wearing strip lashes 5 days before your appointment and avoid mascara or oily products around your eyes 48 hours prior to your appointment. Strip lash glue and mascara can leave microscopic traces which are invisible to the eye and can still coat the natural lashes affecting how well your extensions stick to your lashes.
✨ Please ensure that you have removed contact lenses before arriving to your appointment and have CLEAN LASHES or brows free from any mascara, moisturisers, creams or lotions as any time taken to remove this will come off of your treatment time which cannot be extended.
✨ Please arrive on time for your appointment, an allocated time slot is booked out for your treatment and if you are late your appointment cannot be extended (please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes prior to your appointment).
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO BEFORE MY EYELASH APPOINTMENT?
Please ensure you have removed any eye makeup using an oil-free makeup remover and thoroughly rinsed your eyelashes. We recommend using Simple Eye Makeup Remover. This is extremely important because traces of makeup (especially mascara) left on the eyelashes will mean the eyelash extensions are applied to the makeup rather than your natural eyelash, affecting retention. Some mascaras contain oils and these can prevent the extensions bonding correctly. It is also advised not to use any oil based products (such as Vaseline or moisturisers) around the eyes 48 hours priors to treatment.
CAN I STILL WEAR EYE MAKE UP WITH MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Yes, you can still wear makeup but you won’t need mascara, and you may even find you won’t need eyeliner. You can still use oil-free eyeliner and eye shadows as long as you remember to remove it with a product that does not contain oil of any kind as this will affect the glue. Always clean away from the lashes to prevent a build-up of products on them. Cleaning Kits are available to purchase for only £6.
DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE YOUR NATURAL LASHES?
No, when applied correctly eyelash extensions cause no damage to your natural eyelashes. We ensure each individual extension or fan of extensions is applied to only one natural eyelash 0.5-1mm away from the lash line. The extension will grow out and shed with the natural eyelash and a new eyelash will grow in its place. To ensure the ongoing health of your natural lashes, we highly recommend you follow advice given regarding the maximum thickness and length that would be appropriate long-term for your natural lashes. The glue we use is also medical grade and gentle to the eyes, causing no irritation or discomfort.
WHAT CAN I DO TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF MY EXTENSIONS?
There are a few simple steps you can take to make sure you get the most out of your eyelash extensions. At your first appointment, you will be given aftercare advice and the option to purchase a £6 Cleaning Kit to take care of your lashes.
The main things to remember are:
- Keep them dry for the first 24 hours to allow the glue to cure
- Avoid using saunas, steam rooms or sunbeds for the first 48 hours
- Only use oil-free products, especially makeup remover
- Do not rub your eyes or pick, pull or play with your extensions
- It is perfectly fine to go swimming once the glue has cured after 24 hours but gently rinse off any chlorine with fresh water afterwards
- Be gentle when combing your extensions with the lash comb provided
- Cleanse them properly 2-3 times a week with a lash cleanser and a soft bristled brush (lash cleaning kit available to purchase for £6).
CAN I WEAR CONTACT LENSES/GLASSES WITH MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Of course! You can wear either with your extensions, but for your appointment it is highly recommended to remove contacts as the curing process of the glue can absorb moisture from your contacts, causing them to dry out. We also want you and your eyes to be relaxed, as your eyes will be closed for a long period of time. Therefore, it advisable to remove contacts prior to your appointment.
